Alabama Credit Union offers Apple Pay® , Samsung Pay® , and Google PayTM  with your Debit MasterCard® or MasterCard® Credit Card. When you add your Alabama Credit Union Debit or Credit Card to your contactless payment account it assigns a unique Device Account Number instead of your actual card number. That number, along with a dynamic security code, is used to process your payment, so your card details are never shared.

Plus, you also get added peace of mind with the other security features that come standard with your Debit MasterCard® or MasterCard® Credit Card —  such as Zero Liability Protection, which protects you against unauthorized purchases should your card be lost or stolen and MasterCard ID Theft Protection™, which offers 24/7 expert advice by calling 1-800-MASTERCARD and ID Theft Alerts™ which provide you with early detection of any possible fraud, you can register for ID Theft Alerts at mastercard.us/idtheftprotection.

Apple Pay

Apple Pay can be used in stores, online and in apps.

To set it up on your iPhone, make sure you’ve activated your Touch ID function.

Add your Alabama Credit Union Debit or Credit Card account information via the phone’s Wallet app. Once added, your Apple Pay account assigns you a unique Device Account Number instead of your actual card number.

Then, when checking out at a store that allows Apple Pay (you can tell by the logo on the merchant’s point-of-sale system), hold the phone close to the payment terminal and touch your finger to the home button so that Touch ID can sense your fingerprint and authenticate the purchase.

Alternatively, you could pay with an Apple Watch by double-clicking the side button and then holding it near the reader.

Samsung Pay

To set up Samsung Pay, launch the app and register your fingerprint and PIN. Then add your Alabama Credit Union Debit or Credit Card account information.

To use Samsung Pay at the register, swipe up on your phone (even when the display is asleep) and then select the card you want to use. After that, authenticate your identity with a fingerprint scan or password before putting your phone next to the payment terminal to complete the transaction.

Unlike Apple Pay, Samsung Pay can be used at magnetic stripe or EMV terminals in addition to NFC point-of-sale devices.

Lost or Stolen Card?

To report your card lost or stolen when the credit union call 833-448-0027 for debit cards and 888-999-0173 for credit cards.

In most cases, your card will be blocked immediately, thereby preventing any additional charges from posting to your account.

  • Best practice: Make a photocopy of all of the information in your wallet, and keep it in an easily accessible safe place. Be sure to photocopy the back sides of cards — they often contain information for reporting lost or stolen cards, or resolving disputed transactions.
